Job Description Overview:

The primary function of the Administrative Assistant is to provide staff support by assisting all departments in the coordination of services for patients from the hospital or related facilities into the therapy program. The incumbent will also assure appropriate identification of services in compliance with insurance parameters. This position represents the first impression that the patient has of our organization and is critical to sustaining a high level of loyalty to the business.

Position Qualifications

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prior administrative experience (at least 2 years)
  • Passion for healthcare
  • Self-starter
  • Work well unsupervised
  • Detail oriented and Meticulous

Essential Job Functions/ Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Staffing Coordinator with staffing
  • On call staffing – must be willing to do weekend on call
  • Performs general office duties including but not limited to data entry, copying, faxing, scanning, sorting/distributing mail, providing reception and telephone service
  • Provide daily/weekly updates and reports to case managers
  • Oversee patients care from admission to discharge
  • Communicate patient needs to field therapists and follow up accordingly
  • Coordinate authorizations with case managers
  • Ensure field clinicals are providing timely updates
  • Assist with a variety of administrative tasks such as patient tracking, staffing new incoming referrals, updating credentials
  • Answer and screen incoming calls
  • Provide administrative back up support when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
