What we’re looking for in you

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent (If HS Diploma is in progress, must be Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry)
• Current BLS - American Heart Association or BLS - American Red Cross (CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer & Health Care Provider)

Required:

• Six (6) months experience in healthcare setting
• Must have strong organizational, multi-tasking, and communication skills with a customer-service orientation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Demonstrates basic computers skills or the ability to achieve proficiency within 3 months.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with patients, visitors, and co-workers.
• Ability to independently initiate appropriate tasks within the scope of practice of the position.
• Ability to provide individualized care and respond to a variety of patient/family preferences.
• Ability to provide an exceptional patient experience utilizing strong customer service skills.
• Ability to set priorities and manage time effectively.

The purpose of the Patient Care Assistant (Nursing Assistant) - Women's Center

As a Patient Care Assistant (Nursing Assistant) - Women's Center you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse to assist in delivery of patient care including personal hygiene and daily activities transporting patients and equipment, setting up and maintaining patient rooms, and reordering/stocking of supplies. Responsible for coordination of communications and procedures for the nursing unit, process electronic orders
and assembling patient’s charts and other necessities.
