ASAP Solutions, an ACS company, is filling a Pathology Assistant contact to hire opportunity for a client in Overland Park, KS. Pay rate is up to $90/hr. If interested, please send your resume for immediate consideration.

Pathology Assistant - Overland Park, KS

· Must be able to perform everyday duties related to examinations and dissections for routine and complex surgical specimens.

· Must be able to provide assistance in the interpretation of histologic specimens and technical advice upon request.

· Must be able to research, troubleshoot and resolve histology related inquiries and problems within the laboratory.

· For credentialing grossing technicians, non-certified and certified PAs, all credentialing documentation will go to the NOQ (National Office of Quality) in Burlington.
For credentialing histotechnicians/histotechnologists, all credentialing documentation will go to the hiring supervisor/manager for review.

Details / Requirements:

· One position is for 2nd shift; 2:00pm-10:30pm M-F. and one position - 1st shift; 10:00am-6:30pm M-F. Open to travelers, no expenses paid.

· Contract to Hire is the preference but willing to accept long term contract only.

· At least 1 year of Grossing experience is required.

· ASCP certification preferred, but not required.

· No vaccination requirements.

· Need to be able to work well with MS Office Suite.

· Experience with Vantage, Copath M or Dragon helpful.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $80.00 - $90.00 per hour
