Come work at Giana Bakery+ Provisions a full service restaurant offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. We are looking to hire an experienced Pastry Chef to help us keep growing.

Responsibilities for Pastry Chef

• Create and prepare all pastry items as required by the business
• Prepare, clean and organize ingredients for use in the kitchen
• Come up with recipe ideas from scratch
• Plan the menu of desserts and pastry to complement savory items
• Ensure the kitchen is clean and sanitized at all times
• Assist with catering orders and daily prep tasks
• Maintain up to date knowledge about pastry arts and ingredients
• Carry yourself with a positive attitude and be a team player

Qualifications for Pastry Chef

• Proven experience working as a pastry chef in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Able to follow recipes and instructions accurately
• Good knowledge of pastry arts and ingredients
• Confident culinary techniques and skills
• Good sense of planning and preparation for the day ahead
• Diligent and meticulous in making and receiving orders
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Punctual and discipline to ensure optimal work performance
• Physically able to stand for long hours every day in a hot kitchen

Giana Bakery + Provision is looking for a full or part time pastry chef. Our pastry chef works on creating both new and unique pastries as well as timeless classics. We are open breakfast lunch and dinner so our pastry chef will also work on seasonal dessert menus, and learn the ins and outs of caterings and special events desserts.

There is tons of growth opportunity as we have big plans of growth ahead with our sister restaurant Giana Bakery. Hourly position starting at $18 and hour plus tips, we like long walks on the beach, a large variety of music, juggling and have a passion for creating total hospitality for our team and our guests.
