Due to our continued growth we are searching for a talented, engaging Parts Sales Specialist with excellent telephone manner and strong computer skills to support our nationwide customers with integrity, teamwork and a sense of urgency.

The successful candidate will be responsible for promptly responding to customer calls and emails, quoting and entering orders, checking inventory and working closely with the other departments at the Plasser American manufacturing site to ensure we provide world class support to our valued customers operating the nation’s critical railroads.

Parts Sales Specialist is required to operate with a positive attitude and a ‘can do’ enthusiastic presence possessing strong communication skills both written and orally in emails and over the telephone enquiries.


Duties/Responsibilities

  • Own the RMA Process from beginning to end. To include the hone and refinement of the process to a linear function aligning with ISO Standards. Work with multiple teams to streamline conception to completion.
  • Creation of quotations using company user interface and spreadsheets for price determination and availability/lead times.
  • Process orders to completion including entry, processing, and supplying customer of any shipping information as requested. This is to include Purchase Orders, Credit Card, and Returns.
  • Constant communication with customer in regards to quotation requests, order status, delivery dates, concerns, and fulfillment of their needs and requirements.
  • Receive, check, and follow up on customer complaints or issues.
  • Confer with Inter-Company departments or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing/delayed shipments.
  • Prepare export shipment documentation for air, sea, and ground (i.e. US Customs invoices, pro forma invoices, and contacting and arranging export shipments with carriers).


Qualifications

Strong organization and communication skills.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook.

Preferred:

Ability to read blueprints and schematics when necessary.

Prior experience with AS400


Education/Experience

Minimum 3 years of parts or manufacturing sales experience.

A high school diploma and/or a technical degree.
