Parts Coordinator Job Description

Job Summary:

Job Responsibilities:

• Ordering of parts and supplies needed for the daily repair and operation of a biomedical department working with a multitude of medical equipment.
• Inventory control to prevent stock outs.
• Answer phone calls and e-mails from internal customers and address concerns or questions with the highest level of response and attention.
• Maintains a database to provide an accurate record and inventory of supplies.
• Reviews parts requisitions from our various branches. Obtains and distributes parts the most economical way feasible either from existing stock, harvested from retired units, or purchase request.
• Establish a parts par level based off usage.
• Determines the status of merchandise received and coordinates the return of wrong or damaged items.
• Complete a bi-annual inventory of all parts and disposables.
• Keep area safe and clean.

Qualifications:

• Ability to be self-accountable in accordance with Company policies.
• Must be proficient using a computer & software program such as MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Explorer to research parts and pull reports.
• Ability to work in a team environment with people of diverse backgrounds and experience levels.
• Able to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
• Ability to problem solve with minimal supervision.
• Well organized.
• Dynamic, self-starter, proactive.
• Strong communication skills.
• Able to lift 30 lbs.
• Work Monday-Friday and weekends if needed.
