RESPONSIBILITES
  • Review partnership agreement arrangements; calculate and disburse compensation to Non-Equity and Senior Counsel partners.
  • Prepare and reconcile 6 complex distribution calculations and monthly compensation schedules; coordinate deduction schedules with various departments.
  • Prepare internal email announcements for estimated and actual Quarterly Tax Distributions, Earnings Reconciliation, and Taxable Income Memos.
  • Prepare estimated and actual individual financial memos for Quarterly Tax Distributions.
  • Investigate, research and resolve partners’ compensation-related issues and communicate issues/analysis/discrepancies/errors/etc. to individual partners.
  • Prepare and post general ledger entries for all disbursements; review and reconcile compensation monthly, quarterly and annually.
  • Maintain and manage compensation tracking spreadsheets and databases; import/export data into/from various databases, massage data, analyze relationships, and formulate desired output.
  • Assist Manager with any compensation-related schedules/analysis as necessary; assist with interim and annual audit procedures.
  • Assist other Managers and Directors with partner compensation-related schedules/analysis as necessary.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with payroll software required, Workday preferred (Upload/download data to/from and generate necessary reports).
  • Any General Ledger System, 3E preferred (Upload/download data to/from and generate necessary reports).
  • Exceptional MS Excel skills, working knowledge of databases and excellent math aptitude.
  • Possess the ability to juggle multiple priorities/deadlines and attention to detail.
  • Also, must have strong organizational and communication skills (both oral and written).
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE
  • 2 + years of related experience in a legal or professional services setting.
  • College degree is preferred. Experience can be substituted for a degree.
HOURS
Core hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., with additional hours as needed.
