Overview:
POSITION SUMMARY:

Under general supervision provides traffic and parking related services. Assist visitors/patients with entry and exit of vehicles. Parks and retrieves vehicles. HSS, is a drug-free environment.

Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Greets and assists customers.
  • Parks and retrieves vehicles when stacking is needed
  • Provides light clean-up services of parking structure and valet areas
  • Assists patients, visitors and guests with information, directions, and other requests
  • Monitors parking area for any suspicious activity that could result in injury to a person or damage to/loss of property and reports incidents to the security supervisor
  • Maintains a thorough knowledge of a facility or, where applicable, multiple facilities
  • Abides by all regulations and guidelines of the client facility and HSS
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with HSS employees, facility employees, patients, visitors, physicians, and general public.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

This classification is distinguished from other levels within the organization as the role typically performs routine duties.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience:

High School diploma or G.E.D. AND two (2) years of customer service and/or call center experience or equivalency or any equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the job.


Licenses and Certifications:
  • Obtain and maintain valid Driver’s License and meet company driving standards.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:
Knowledge of:
  • Demonstrated ability in basic computer skills such as Microsoft Office Word, Power point, Excel, and Outlook, or other job-related software.

Skill in:
  • Read, write, speak, and comprehend English language proficiently.
  • Excellent customer service skills and genuine desire to assist people and provide parking assistance.
  • Communicate effectively with diverse people including clients or their representatives, client employees, visitors, and client vendors.

Abilities to:
  • Write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Comprehend and fulfill written or verbal instructions.


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

While performing this job, individual will walk, stand, sit, observe and drive for extended periods of time in various weather conditions; run, climb stairs, and carry fire extinguishers or other emergency equipment; help restrain or lift a person; occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds; frequently required to use hands, handle or feel objects or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk and hear; specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; self-motivation and ability to work independent of immediate supervision.
