Role Summary

Position Type and Pay Range

  • Part-Time with highest need between 10am-4pm and 4pm-8:30pm
  • Flexible schedules available
  • Opportunity to pick up open shifts

  • $13 per hour

Requirements

  • Must be 16 or older to apply
  • Understand the expectations of Don Juan Mex Grill customer service standards and operational excellence
  • Able to lift up to 40 lbs occasionally and stand for up to 8 hours


General Responsibilities

  • Read, understand, and comply with all parts of the Team Member Handbook

  • Show up on time, have a great attitude, and work hard for your entire shift
  • Deliver portions that are correct and meet presentation expectations
  • Execute FIFO (First In, First Out) model for food inventory to assure freshness and quality
  • Protect the customer experience by ensuring packaging, food presentation, and quality are top-level
  • Constantly improve yourself by finding ways to do your work better and faster
  • Proactively look for opportunities to be cross-trained
  • Be responsible to fill your shift if you are not able work
  • Ensure appearance complies with the Team Member Handbook
  • Be a team player
  • Display good stewardship and a sense of ownership for the business


Responsibilities

  • Prepare, cook, assemble, and present food safely, quickly, and efficiently, meeting Don Juan Mex Grill standards

  • Be knowledgeable of the assignments for all kitchen stations
  • Prepare hot and cold individual and catering menu items
  • Stock kitchen inventory as needed
  • Keep the kitchen neat, clean, and orderly at all times
  • Work safely around kitchen equipment and report any maintenance issues to the Kitchen Leader
  • Maintain personal knowledge by completing in-house training and stay up-to-date on any changes
  • Complete all opening and closing tasks as assigned
