Part Time Housekeeping Supervisor

Oversee the overall operations of the housekeeping team and the cleanliness of our guest spaces. Supervise the operations of the housekeeping staff promoting a friendly, courteous and safe environment with the end goal of achieving maximum guest satisfaction. In addition, to ensure the protection of the hotel, operational efficiencies and controlling expenses related to the housekeeping department.

In addition, responsible to respond to front desk inquires, guest requests, assist guestroom and laundry attendants, maintain the cleanliness of hotel grounds. Partner with the maintenance team to ensure everything is in working order. Maintain lobby and public space areas, as assigned by management, in a clean and orderly condition according to standard procedures in a safe, accident-free manner.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Supervise the daily activities of the housekeeping staff including daily room assignments and special cleaning projects

· Provide open communication, training, coaching and counseling to the team to ensure maximum efficiency

· Supervise and inspect the cleaning of the guest rooms, public areas and heart of the house

· Clean rooms when needed due to season or staffing challenges

· Ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, SOPs and health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction

· Track assignments for general clean program and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation

· Issue supplies/goods to staff at beginning of shift in order to control inventory and ensure proper supplies are available while controlling expenses

· Conduct regular inventories of supplies and place supply orders

· Manage and create housekeeping schedule managing the number of team members to occupied rooms

· Supervise the punching in and out of team members and correct any needed punches with proper employee approval

· Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction

· Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquiries to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction

· Partner with the front desk to have items shipped back to guests

· Ensure team goes through onboarding tasks prior to working and goes through emergency and safety training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel, guest, staff and company assets.

· Clean and maintain all equipment and work areas.

· Assist as necessary with special projects and renovations.

· Report any unsafe conditions to leadership

Other Responsibilities:

· Runs errands as needed, driving own or company vehicle, in order to drop off and pick up supplies, equipment and furnishings.

· Provide assistance to other employees and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.

· Provide training to new property level support as needed.

· Frequently bend and kneel to perform inspections and repairs.

· Continuously stand and climb stairs of approximately 40% of 8 hours.

You have:

· Proven experience in leading others in a service or cleaning role

· Knowledge of general maintenance and cleaning processes and methods

· Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices

· Ability to use computers, email, Microsoft word and property management system.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
