Position Description:

The Inception Company specializes in creating live and on demand virtual programming to support Marketing and Brand Promotion, Speaker/KOL Training, Clinical Investigator Training, Medical Education/CME, and Professional Associations. Most initiatives require a project management team to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of the client, as well as support staff to ensure that objectives are accomplished according to specifications within the established timelines.

Inception has immediate openings for part-time/on call Event Support Coordinators charged with providing online meeting support services via the web. This position may be 100% remote but requires the candidate to maintain their own hard-wired internet connection with the following specs:

  • 15 MPS upload / 50 MPS download speeds – speedtest.net demonstration will be required at the time of interview
  • CAT7 or higher ethernet cables for both Inception provided-laptop and phone with direct connection to ISP router

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the producer for our clients’ Web Conference programs.
  • Provide support to end users on a variety of issues.
  • Aid our Project Management Organization in Kick-off Calls, program development and Leader Trainings.
  • Manage event specifications including web platform, as well as adherence to all SOPs, SOEs.
  • Tracks and documents event details according to event protocols.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues/difficulties over the phone while maintaining Help Desk protocols from event to event.
  • Escalate any unresolved problems to technical lead and/or management.
  • Maintains a professional relationship with customers, vendors, as well as internal staff.
  • Always ensures the highest level of customer service.
  • Performs all duties with keen attention to detail.
  • Adapts to changing software, platform solutions and SOPs as business needs change.

Work experience/requirements:

  • Schedule flexibility required. This is an as needed position.
  • Must be able to work flexible day, evening, and some weekend hours.
  • Part-time hours are dependent on our clients’ needs. Schedules will vary week-to-week.

  • Exceptional communication skills, as well as strong sense of professionalism required.
  • Previous technical customer service experience preferred.
  • Must have extensive experience in Microsoft Power Point.
  • Ability to efficiently and promptly troubleshoot common user issues (ie: calmly identifying issue, de-escalating concerns, finding solutions).
  • Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the internet broadcast field (e.g., Webcams, computer microphones, speakers, Internet browsers, Wi-Fi, Hotspots, bandwidth for streaming content, etc.).
  • Experience dealing with multiple platforms/OS (PC, MAC, iOS, Android), web interfaces, web cameras, sound, communication and Internet connectivity issues.
  • Experience with Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Edge, Zoom, Zoom OSC, WebEx, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Connect.
  • Works well in a collaborative team environment. Communication is a must!
