The Loan Compliance Specialist maintains comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements within the commercial, consumer and mortgage lending industries to ensure compliance with applicable banking laws, regulations, policies and procedures. This position is responsible for the development and coordination of compliance efforts for lending services within the bank, including Policy and procedure review and monitoring.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Manages escrow accounts originated/closed, including reporting, disbursements, and customer service.
  • Manage recording and review of HMDA data.
  • Serve as HMDA/Escrow resource for commercial and consumer lending, providing support and guidance to operational efforts.
  • Perform ARM verifications.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships and communication with teammates and partners
  • Assists with the coordination and distribution of compliance-related documents and/or activities to appropriate areas.
  • Maintains knowledge of lending products offered by the Bank as well as knowledge of the industry or market areas served.
  • Maintains a current knowledge and application of related Federal, State and industry laws and regulations pertaining to Commercial and Consumer Lending
  • Customer service support to internal and external clients.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE RECOMMENDED GUIDELINES
  • High school graduate or equivalent certification
  • 3 – 5 years progressive bank experience
  • Proficient computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Office Suite
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Reading and proofreading skills
  • Requires visual speed and accuracy
  • Well-developed time management and organization skills
  • Able to exercise appropriate judgment and seek/involve management when necessary
  • Ability to accept management instruction and execute tasks while under pressure
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
