The Driver works with our operations and HR team based in Brighton, Colorado. This position is responsible for driving seasonal greenhouse workers to and from multiple facilities in the Colorado area (Brighton/Golden) using a Tagawa van (14 passenger). In addition, the Driver will be responsible for transporting seasonal greenhouse workers from their residences to various local businesses including banks and grocery stores.

Because of this, the Driver may start work as early as 4:30AM to transport workers to facilities, and then be asked to take them home in the evening when they are done with work. Work end times vary based on the day and greenhouse needs, but typically ends between 4:00PM-7:00PM Monday through Saturday. Afternoon shift times would be communicated the morning before. 4-5 times per week, the Driver would also take groups of workers to the bank and grocery stores. This position is part-time working approximately 20 hours per week.

An ideal candidate had a flexible working schedule and excellent communication skills. This position requires several hours of driving per day, so a well-qualified candidate will be comfortable with that and have the stamina to stay alert behind the wheel. Experience in driving in a professional setting is preferred.

Essential Functions/Duties:

• Transport employees to and from their residences to the Tagawas North Greenhouse Facility.
• Transport employees to and from their residences in order to reach banks and grocery stores.
• Communicate with managers and human resources staff to get driving route/daily schedule.
• Ensure the safety of employees by committing to safe driving practices and traffic laws.
• Maintaining cleanliness and sanitization of vehicles. Disinfect van and frequently touched surfaces between each trip.

In addition to the above responsibilities, the Driver may be required to assist with various tasks as needed as assigned by the HR Manager.

• Must be 21 years of age and eligible to work in the United States.
• Must have specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
• Must be able to pass an MVR and background check.
• Language & Communication Skills

o Ability to read, speak, and interpret general information and professional documents in Spanish. (Proficiency in English is preferred)

o Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or scheduled forms.

o Must maintain a positive and professional work atmosphere by acting and communicating to greenhouse workers, operations and HR staff in a respectful and timely manner.

• Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 10-15 pound with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Job requires employees to be driving for long periods of time, sit, stand, stoop, squat, kneel, crouch with or without reasonable accommodation.
• All employees must follow the safety guidelines and procedures set by Tagawa Greenhouse Enterprises, use equipment and materials correctly for their intended purpose, and determine appropriate action for dealing with all situations that may arise.

All drivers must meet the requirements to be placed on the Tagawa Greenhouse Designated Driver list and have an MVR approved by Hortica. This will require for you to have a valid Driver’s License and current car insurance.

The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. To prevent injury, employees must abide by the safety procedures set by Tagawa Greenhouse Enterprises, LLC. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
