Job Summary:

This part-time role is responsible for providing strategic thought leadership in how we connect people to Forest Hill, ranging from newcomers to long term congregants. The Connections Associate will oversee all connection efforts across multiple ministry areas, including hospitality environments. The role will provide vision and execution in how people connect and stay engaged in the life and ministry of Forest Hill Church. The Connections Director will oversee other ministry projects and tasks as needed, including ongoing collaboration with all other ministry areas and the collaborative team. Performs duties as established to meet the organizational mission, vision, and values (DNA) of Forest Hill Church.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Relational Rhythm

• Evaluate and oversee connections before, during, and after all worship services for the campus, ensuring relational connections with volunteers and congregants are made at every level.
• Lead efforts in the identification, recruitment, scheduling and development of coaches and volunteers that promotes engagement at FHC.
• Oversee communication channels to ensure people are properly connected in a meaningful, timely way that promotes ownership and engagement. This includes our email, text, and process queues.

• Strategically collaborate with other campus Connections Directors, the Connections CTL, and ministry teams at designated campus.
• Collaborate with others to create and Implement the vison of connection that is consistent with FHC DNA and collaborative team values but is unique to your current and future demographic.
• Collaborate with Campus ADD on all connections content and volunteer assimilation.
• Collaborate with campus G&M Directors on new guests that require in person follow-up

Intelligent Design

• Analyze data through CCB and other communication and connection platforms to identify trends and opportunities, providing strategic solutions to help create better connections practices and procedures. This includes acting as a CCB Power User and assisting with trainings and database clean-up to make sure data is accurate and will help in relational decision-making.
• Oversee how materials are managed in the connections pathways (signage, printed materials, slides, connection cards, etc.) to afford the best possible connections results.

Savvy Stewardship

• Oversee that the connections pathway environment is equipped, resourced, and led with excellence and participants receive a clear next step.

• Manage and maintain Connections campus budget, ensuring best use of resources.
• Monitor and evaluate CCB processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates Degree (or equivalent in training and experience) in hospitality management, event planning, or a related-field.
• Experience with data management (experience with CCB a plus).
• At least 2+ years of experience in a church-based setting (paid or volunteer).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong ability to multi-task.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational/administrative skills.
• Ability to assess the needs of specific congregants/participants and help participants recognize their spiritual potential.
• Ability to represent the Church in a professional and caring manner.
• Ability to use professional judgment and discretion when handling confidential and/or sensitive information.
• Ability and desire to encourage congregants to volunteer and become more involved while providing value to their spiritual development.
• Ability to coordinate and manage large numbers of volunteers.
