Job description

Jeffrey Wilbur Plumbing, Heating & Air is looking for an experienced bookkeeper 20-25 hours per week to ensure proper processing of accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations as well as other assigned duties. A keen attention to detail, efficiency, organization and exceptional computer skills are required. Current software: Service Titan and QuickBooks. This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate weekly payroll including processing technician and office staff work time, commissions, bonuses earned, vacation/personal time, and all other transactions affecting payroll.
  • Maintain a log of vacation/personal leave and leave without pay requests for all staff members eligible for such leave according to company policy.
  • Perform weekly reconciliation of bank account to ensure proper/efficient bank reconciliation at month’s end. Monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Prepare and make online bank deposits as required.
  • Weekly reconciliation of credit card payments.
  • Daily reconciliation of service calls performed, monies collected, and commissions earned - including generating invoices for all service calls, preparing a statistical report of daily income generated vs. salary expenses for the owner, tracking customer deposits on work to be performed in the future, managing estimate follow-up process, tracking Accounts Receivable monies owed, etc.
  • Maintain professional working relationships with vendors and customers.
  • Work closely with and serve as backup to the CSR in answering phones according to script, scheduling service appointments, and ensuring an efficient flow of paperwork through the office.
