Position Summary:

The paraprofessional manager is in charge of overseeing the paraprofessional department of the assigned school division (lower, middle or upper school).

Key/Essential Functions & Responsibilities

  • Supports maintaining staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Schedules paraprofessional coverage schedule and manages PTO schedule.
  • Provides coverage if necessary.
  • Support teachers as needed.
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and legal work environment.
  • Develops personal growth opportunities.
  • Accomplishes staff results by communicating job expectations; planning, observing, and appraising job results; coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees.
  • Develops, coordinates, and enforces school, policies, procedures, and productivity standards.
  • Maintains quality service by enforcing quality and best practice standards.
  • Analyzes and resolves quality and work-related issues.
  • Identifies trends; recommends specific work improvements.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.
  • Assists Directors with specific school duties.
  • Provides accurate work hours for staff; submits hours to payroll on submission dates.
  • Maintains and tracks staff records on a weekly basis.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Adheres to strict confidentiality requirements and protection of sensitive employee and student data.
  • Performs all other duties, as assigned

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent required.
  • One to three years of relevant paraprofessional experience required.
  • Experience providing support to the full employee life cycle (e.g. recruiting, on-boarding, termination).
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook, Word and Excel required.
  • Must be well-organized with superior attention to detail and able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualification Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of PowerPoint a plus.

Compensation Range

$20.75 to $25.75 per hour
