JOB SUMMARY:

Direct and work with lower classification to set up, operate and maintain a continuous strip reverse roll coating line according to operating methods productivity, quality and establish safety standards.

This job must be carried out in compliance with the OmniMax Code of Business Ethics and Conduct, OmniMax policies and procedures as well as all Federal, State, and Local laws, including the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & TASKS:

  • Use measuring tools (micrometer and calipers) to check metal gage and roll diameters. Use computer controlled equipment to monitor / operate line.
  • Use powered industrial forklift to pick-up, tilt, stack and / or transport coils to and from designated storage/ production area.
  • Work with various hazardous and non-hazardous chemicals used in the cleaner, conversion and coater sections, quality lab, coater clean up and line maintenance.
  • Work from production and maintenance schedules as well as direction from paint line supervisor.
  • Follow established policies and practices and procedures to ensure product quality, continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
  • Train lower level classifications under the direction of the area supervisor.
  • Maintain working and storage area in an safe, orderly and neat condition.
  • Preform minor maintenance on equipment and cleaning it when necessary.
  • Maintain all records in a neat and accurate manner per company and governmental requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS: The minimum qualifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities needed to perform this job successfully.

Education:

High School Diploma/ GED

Experience:

Over 2 years of related work experience.

Forklift experience required.

Ability to use measuring instruments. (micro-meters and calipers)

Skills:

  • Must have a strong mathematical ability.
  • Ability to work with Fractions and Decimals.
  • Must be able to read and interpret charts, specifications, and production schedules.
  • Ability to use micrometer and calipers.
  • Solid computer skills (e-mail, excel, oracle)
  • Detail- Oriented- must be able to make decisions, plan, preform and detect faulty equipment.
