2nd Shift Packing Associate

LOCATION: 10540 Rockley Road, Houston, TX 77099

PAY RANGE: 11.00 per hour + $1.00 Differential Non-Exempt

JOB SUMMARY

AlpHa Measurement Solutions is experiencing aggressive growth through a global platform consolidation and recognizes a need to strengthen operational manufacturing capabilities to meet increased demand and support continued growth. We have an immediate need for 2nd Shift Packing Associate to join our Houston-based team.

The 2nd Shift Packing Associate performs all tasks involved in the packing of the company’s products. This includes, testing, screening, packaging, and packing to established methods and work instructions. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Read routing and perform work as assigned by department supervisor
• Process orders according to the customer packaging guidelines
• Fabricate or modify parts, using provided shop equipment and tools
• Attach appropriate labels to wires, products, and packages
• Check parts for possible defects (cracked glass, wrong connectors, cracked housing)
• Record any defects or other data as requested by supervisors or managers
• Where applicable, understand serialized processes and trace data through products serial number
  

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED

DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• One year experience in packing of electro-chemical or electronic equipment a plus

• Must be able to routinely lift 25 pounds

• Must be able to work in fast-paced environments

• Occasional overtime to meet business needs

• Must be conversant in English for safe and effective performance of the job
