The Picker/Packer with Forklift Knowledge is responsible for fulfilling customer orders by selecting and packing items from warehouse shelves and preparing them for shipment. The role involves operating a forklift to move items around the warehouse, ensuring they are stored safely and securely. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who is committed to accuracy and efficiency in their work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift to move materials and products around the warehouse
• Pick and pack items from warehouse shelves according to customer orders
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of orders by checking them against picking slips
• Prepare items for shipment, including labeling, packaging, and arranging for transportation
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including shelving, equipment, and storage spaces
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment
• Collaborate with other warehouse team members to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of customer orders
• Communicate any issues or discrepancies to warehouse management promptly

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Forklift certification and experience operating a forklift in a warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) as needed
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems and software is a plus
