OVERVIEW

The Packaging Supervisor will direct sugar production operations on rotating shifts. He/She will direct teams of specialized union employees ensuring good manufacturing practices and

safe operating procedures. The Packaging Supervisor will achieve standard production volume, quality standards, and regulatory compliance through the supervision of hourly personnel (up to 30) on rotating shifts.

  • Maintaining standard production rates while maintaining compliance with safety,

  • Leading assigned teams in the continuous improvement process


WORK EXPERIENCES

  • Ability to train others

  • Quantifiable leadership skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Basic understanding of mechanical, electrical and instrumentation

  • Industrial electric background, computer, PLC programming, mechanical

  • troubleshooting, and management supervisory skills

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Four-year degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent military experience preferred

  • High School Diploma or GED required
