Pryes Brewing Company is looking for a Packaging Operator to join our team. Packaging Operators at Pryes have high standards for quality and artisanship. Our production team focuses on all aspects of the brewing process from receiving raw material to delivering finished goods to our distribution team. They take pride in their work and in caring for our production spaces and equipment. An ideal team member has a strong sense of team spirit and is passionate about learning and expanding their versatility as a craft beer professional.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

• performing daily production activities, including kegging, bottling, and canning, tank and environmental cleaning, and potential for cross training and supporting the other production operational activities, including brewhouse operations, yeast handling, cellar work, filter operation, and dry hopping
• assisting the team with quality control checks of beer throughout the brewing process: carbonation, transferring, packaging, seam checks, DO checks and participating in sensory panels.
• maintaining a neat and safe work area at all times: cleaning and sanitizing all equipment, tanks, and production areas per company protocols and standards
• keeping accurate daily production records per company and government requirements, including production paperwork and documentation
• packaging beer to Pryes Brewing Company standards
• operating a forklift, scissor lift, powered pallet jack, and boiler system (certifications a plus)

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

• degree or certificate from a recognized technical or brewing program a plus, yet not a requirement
• ability to follow and provide feedback on standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• attention to detail and quality in products, customer experience, and job performance
• professionalism as defined by the ability to make deliberate, intentional decisions, and a desire to grow your competence and skills
• a combination of creativity, exceptional execution, and personal character to set the standard of what the MN craft beer experience should be

Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the functions of this job, an employee must walk, stand, or remain stationary during an entire shift. Packaging Operators must be able to continuously reach, bend, lift, climb, carry, and stoop with the potential for slipping or tripping. Employees must frequently wash their hands and lift or move up to 170 pounds.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
