PACKAGER I is responsible for assisting the Lead Packager with daily operations to meet production schedules assigned to department by Supervisor daily.Essential Functions of the Job:
- Perform duties in department as assigned by the Lead Packager on a day by day or task by task basis.
- Bagging of 25 to 50 pound bags of sunflower product on a continuous basis.
- Vacuum Packing of 25 to 45 pound boxes of sunflower product on a continuous basis.
- Report any unusual events or occurrences to your supervisor immediately.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by Supervisor.
- Maintain assigned work and warehouse areas at the highest possible sanitation level daily.
- Ensure all assigned paperwork is completed correctly daily.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED

Knowledge and Skills:
- Ability to use critical thinking to plan and problem-solve.

- Candidate Must perform tasks in accordance with Sunopta’s GMP Policies and Procedures and all Food and Safety Procedures.
Position involves lifting more than 50 pounds on a frequent and consistent basis.Frequent Bending, Stooping, and Twisting.Able to climb stairs/ladders and stand for long periods of time.Position is working in a climate-controlled area for approx. 95% of the duties assigned.
