We’re now looking for an ambitious Outsourced Regional Travel Manager to join our Americas delivery team based in the US. In this hybrid role, you can enjoy the physical support from our multiple US office based colleagues, while virtually you also benefit from our global expertise and the support directly from the major global multi-national customer that you'll be working alongside.
About the role
Our Travel Outsourcing practice represents one of our largest areas of expertise that exists within our Global Business Consulting team. You'll be working alongside a highly skilled team of over 100 Outsourced Travel Managers across the globe who you can lean on for support, in addition you'll also be hugely important to the customers organisation that you'll work with in managing key aspects of their program in the Europe region and also providing support to the Global Lead with items that are tactical as well as strategic.
On a day-to-day basis you'll be supporting the Global Lead with operational tasks and also support with implementation projects across the region.
You'll also be tasked with supporting the end user "the traveller" with a range of queries related to the Online Booking Tool (OBT), card and expense and policy to name a few.
You'll act as the main point of contact for travellers and arrangers and work closely to engage with them at regular touchpoints in order to create advocates for the program.
You'll be responsible for the creation, maintenance and execution of the travel category strategy for your region to achieve a best in class end-to-end travel program.
You play a critical role in problem solving, identification of challenges and transforming hypotheses and conclusions into recommendations and suggestions of solutions. You’ll exude confidence being in front of all types of stakeholders regardless of their seniority and will be able to present and communicate well in all scenarios.
What skills you'll need to succeed
  • Client facing experience, preferably from a Travel Manager, consulting, or Travel Management Company related background.
  • Ability to act as a trusted advisor, capable of identifying expansion opportunity during customer interaction.
  • Collaborative, energetic, flexible and can-do attitude. You'll be able to rally people together from within the customer organisation through to internal resources in order to get things done.
  • Critical thinker, thrives on working in an innovative environment that champions knowledge sharing and team collaboration.
  • Analytically minded, understands data with ease and is comfortable in its transformation into insights and conclusions.
  • Can multi-task with ease and manage competing priorities.
  • Diverse in thinking and approach, will adapt well in a truly global team and has the ability to overcome cultural challenges or barriers at ease.
  • Comfort with ambiguous, ever-changing situations.
  • Ability to solve problems with quantitative thinking and in-depth analysis.
  • A good academic background or lengthy tenure with solid experience in your field.

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $46,000 to $93,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
