We are the Piedmont Triad's only private psychiatric hospital meeting the chemical dependency illnesses and behavioral healthcare needs of those in our community. Our 164-bed inpatient services for adolescents through senior adulthood offers comprehensive and individual assessments, psychiatric evaluation and medication stabilization, daily group therapy and personalized aftercare planning. We also offer a Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program to ensure the continuum of care for our patients. Old Vineyard is accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

We are passionate about our work and are looking for individuals who share in this passion. We are currently seeking a Inpatient Therapists (Full-Time and PRN) to join our talented and caring team. Our ideal candidates will possess strong multitasking skills, great communication skills with the ability to engage positively with patients, staff, families, providers, etc., must work well under pressure with several competing priorities and maintain professionalism at all times.

Outpatient Licensed Therapist - PRN (as needed)

The Outpatient Licensed Therapist is responsible for conducting therapeutic services for the hospital's outpatients. Outpatient Therapists are responsible for interviewing and developing the psychosocial history, assessing the therapeutic needs of the individual and family, developing appropriate treatment objectives and treatment summaries, and conducting group therapy sessions. Outpatient Therapists act as the patients’ and families’ primary contact during the patient’s stay at the facility, as well as their advocate with the treatment team.

General Job Requirements:

  • Education: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, counseling or other related human services field.
  • Experience: One (1) year direct clinical experience specific to family, individual and group therapy with adolescents and/or adults. For specialized issues or treatment modalities, training must be specific to these; abuse reactive, sexual offending, substance abuse, sexual trauma, vocational, play therapy, art therapy and relaxation therapy. Must have knowledge of human development over the life span.
  • License/Certification: Current license from the State of North Carolina (LCMHC/LCMHCA, LCSW/LCSWA, or LMFT/LMFTA).

General Job Skills:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills in order to document assessments, treatment planning and interventions into a meaningful document. Must be able to communicate with members of the interdisciplinary treatment team, managed care representatives, adolescents, adults and patient families in a clear and concise manner.
  • Knowledge of individual, group and family therapy dynamics and techniques as related to cultural, social, economic, communication and role expectations within family systems.
  • Knowledge of clinical skills to assess treatment dynamics accurately and develop effective treatment strategies within the overall treatment plan.
  • Employees assigned to adolescents must have the ability to obtain and interpret information in terms of adolescent needs, knowledge of growth and developmental stages and must possess an understanding of the range of treatment needed by this age group.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $33.00 per hour
