Otis + Pearl is a full service tabletop design and rental company specializing in the art of the tablescape. Since we are a rental company there would be physical organization, dish washing, inventory checks and sorting as a part of this job rather than a lot of paperwork or design. We work with some of the largest, most respected event planning companies in the area and are regularly featured on all the major wedding blogs, so this is a great place to learn about the events industry and all the key players.

The ideal candidate will possess:

Adaptability to change and ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Must be highly detailed and extremely organized with the ability to follow-up to complete a project independently. Must conduct yourself in a professional and precise manner through conversation and over the phone.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepping outgoing orders and washing and taking inventory for incoming orders. Unfortunately it is not always glamorous!

• Work under the guidance of company owners, helping with in house photo-shoots, client relations and hospitality communications

• Contribute to supporting the team with event management, organization, and inventory processing

• Assistance with local deliveries, so a large vehicle like and SUV is a plus!

REQUIREMENTS

• Must live within 30 miles (preferably closer) of Ventura

• Be committed to working 2-3 days a week (minimum) 10-20 hours/week. Must have availability Mondays & Fridays and flexible the rest of the week. Sometimes availability needed on Saturday and Sundays for deliveries and will call returns with advanced notice.

• Must be able to lift 15-40 lbs and be on your feet most of the day.

• MUST have a positive, hard-working attitude and work well with minimal direction

• Must be accountable and responsible for showing up to work

• Possess skills at assessing issues, defining solutions, and implementing strategy

• Perform well in environment that values leadership, efficiency, dependability, and organization

• Be able to work as part of a team

• Must own a vehicle. Ideally an SUV or larger vehicle so can also assist with deliveries.

• Must be at least 18 years of age
