Are you an energetic, personable, and driven Orthodontic Assistant?

MK Orthodontics is a fast-paced orthodontic office in Augusta, ME. We are looking for an Orthodontic Assistant to join our orthodontic team! Please note, this position does require travel to both Augusta and Waterville locations.

What you will be doing - key responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients for treatment by welcoming, comforting, seating, and draping patient.
  • Build positive relationships with patients, families, and coworkers to ensure the targeted outcome treatment remains on schedule.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene.
  • Enter detailed chart/record notations in the practice management system.
  • Take x-rays, photos, impressions and intraoral scans.
  • Provide patient instruction/education.
  • Provide reports to parents/guardians.
  • Assist Orthodontist with consultations and all stages of orthodontic procedures.
  • Clean/disinfect operatories and sterilize instruments and devices.
  • Set up trays and prepare brackets for bonding.
  • Unload and store new supplies.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Doctor.

What you bring – qualifications:

  • Registered Dental Assistant
  • Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Good understanding of relevant health and safety regulations
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written), with a proven ability to build strong relationships and rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members and the community
  • Keen attention-to-detail and time management skills

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
