JOB OVERVIEW: The Order Picker in our Shipping & Receiving department will ensure orders are picked and packed for shipment in a timely manner.

PRIMARY JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Complete shipping documents, invoices, and freight bills as required.

· Take phone orders from stores and customers.

· Notify production of “hot” or “out” items.

· Wrap pallets for secure transport.

· Loads and unloads trucks using a forklift.

· Load trailers based on delivery schedule.

· Pick orders accurately and completely by order priority.

· Rotates and organizes stock as needed.

• Assist receiving as needed.
• Cleans and maintains warehouse as needed.
• Performs some routine maintenance on equipment.
• Updates product inventory as needed.
• Keeps accurate drivers log if acting as back up driver.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

· High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

· Must have a clean driver’s record.

· Must be able to attain a CDL Class A with HazMat immediately upon starting.

· Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.

· Basic understanding of railway, dock, and warehouse procedures.

· Good organizational skills and attention to detail.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Prolonged periods standing and walking.

· Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.

· Must be able to traverse distribution warehouse and access a variety of storage spaces and shelving units by stretching, squatting, and reaching.

· Must be able to work in an environment with many noises and odors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
