Job description
Order Packers at Surplus Center are responsible for checking that each customer’s order has been picked accurately and then packaging the products securely prior to shipping. Work will be performed in a climate-controlled environment.
Primary duties:
1. Confirm that the products picked match the printed packing slip.
2. Package products securely for shipment.
3. Operate the order checkout station part-time.
4. Work efficiently to maximize productivity.
5. Maintain a clean, organized, properly stocked work environment.
6. Help maintain an overall safe working environment.
Job Requirements:
1. Ability to consistently follow written and verbal instructions.
2. Consistent attention to detail and ability to stay organized.
3. Depending on the position, you will need to be able to lift up to 50 pounds or up to 70 pounds.
4. Must be able to stand all day.
5. Frequent reaching, grasping, squatting, some overhead reaching.
6. Must work well with others as part of a cooperative team.
Work Hours - Typically 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM weekdays although some seasonal overtime will be expected which include 7:30 AM arrival times and Saturday 8:00 AM to Noon.

Pay: From $17.00 per hour
