We are a small family-owned optometric practice who has been offering optometric services in the Dry Ridge area for over twenty years. Our office is located inside the Wal-Mart where we work closely with the Vision Center associates who provide affordable eyecare.

We are looking for a person with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic to help us continue to provide high quality eyecare with compassion and kindness. Our goal is to help our patients maintain healthy vision in order to enjoy life to the fullest.

The optometric technician will be responsible for scheduling patients and verifying insurance information prior to their appointment. The technician will need to be efficient in checking in patients, utilizing automated equipment and data entry in order to get the patient ready to see the doctor. Lastly, they will check out the patient by taking payment and submitting insurance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check-in patients
  • Answer phone
  • Schedule patients
  • Verify insurance benefits
  • Accurately input data into computer
  • Scan into computer necessary information
  • Perform pre-test (auto lensometer, autorefractor, keratometry, NCT)
  • Collecting payments
  • Keep office and equipment clean
  • Bill insurance and follow-up on unpaid claims
  • Instruct patients on insertion and removal of contact lenses

Education: High-school diploma or GED

Experience: One year preferred but not required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
