Eye Associates of New Mexico has an outstanding career opportunity as an Optician at one of our Optical Shops!
Starting pay $15.22 per hour +, depending on skills/experience. Pay + commissions! No nights! Most opticians are scheduled to work Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with an occasional half day on Saturdays. Paid certification training. Bonus upon completion of certification. Multi-level career path available to increase pay.

We are currently looking for a full-time Optician. This position assists in the process of making a great long lasting impression with our patients. Help our team make that impression!
Job Duties May Include:
- Coordinate flow of customers through the optical shop
- Determine customer's eye wear needs and assist with frame selection and options
- Discuss third party insurance programs with customers
- Follow-up on outstanding orders
- Perform repairs and tints, as needed
- Demonstrate a caring attitude
Skills/ Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have exceptional customer service skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good organizational skills and strong detail orientation
- Preferred: Certified Optician or is willing to work toward ABO certification within our prescribed time frame
- Preferred: ABO certification.
