Supervised by: Summer Operations Director

Minimum Qualifications: Hiring subject to applicable URJ and Pennsylvania State background checks.

Calm under pressure with a proven track record of excellent organizational and communications skills; comfort in managing multiple projects with and for multiple stakeholders. Comfort with Office Suite and ability to learn new technology. Must be able to demonstrate flexibility, manage multiple responsibilities at once and work as part of a team. Excellent driving record. Love and/or respect for The Arts and a diverse community is a must. 21 years of age by June 1, 2023.

Responsibilities

JEWISH

  • Actively participate and demonstrate respect in ritual moments
  • Incorporate core values and summer theme in meaningful and appropriate ways

ARTS

  • Support campers in their skills training and artistic growth
  • Cheer at showcase

CAMP

  • Actively participate and encourage others in camp activities
  • Opportunities to participate in Shabbat prep and offer electives will be available
  • Contribute to the overall positive morale of the camp community
  • Maintain strict confidentiality
  • Other responsibilities as needed

Administration and Operations

  • Serve as frequent first point of contact for parent phone calls
  • Serve as point of contact and assistance to camp visitors
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of office
  • Assist with printing, sorting and delivery of mail, letters and electronic correspondence
  • Inventory and manage supplies internally to camp or needed externally, including delivery of supplies to program areas
  • Assist with program and meeting area set-up and break down including set up of audio/visual equipment for morning and evening rituals, song session, Evening Programs, and Shabbat as needed
  • Provide support for faculty arrival and departure and intersession dorm turn-over, including but not limited to working with hospitality, signage, room set-up, linen laundry, and welcome materials

Transportation Services

  • Assist with local transportation, including but not limited to: supply runs, airport trips, and medical visits.
  • Adhere to URJ Policies and Procedures and applicable state laws for driving vehicles on or off-campus
  • Complete pre and post-trip logs and record any necessary information (i.e. gas level, damage, required maintenance, etc.)
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness
