POSITION: Operations Manager- Newark

JOB DUTIES: Build, develop and manage manufacturing and production teams capable of executing day-to-day operations. Ensure capacity and resources are in place to support business needs while managing manufacturing and production budgets. Manage product realization from the date of order entry to product shipment in collaboration with Engineering, Materials, Quality and Sales. Lead continuous improvement projects and programs to improve efficiency, capability and capacity while promoting operations excellence. Provide engineering support in the areas of manufacturing tooling and documentation control to ensure that customer specifications and requirements for product assembly and testing are met. Research, analyze, and implement methods for increasing productivity through automation, system enhancements and training of human resources. Oversee building and testing of various product categories including pneumatic, electrical, electronic, fabricated sheet metal and welded products. Develop systems and controls to ensure compliance with quality standards. Collaborate with executive management on tactical and strategic operations planning and issues.


HOURS: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday

REQUIREMENTS

Main Education & Experience: Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Management, or closely related field of study and three (3) years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer, Engineer or a closely related occupation.


Special Skills:
Also requires experience in the following:


  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification;
  • Three (3) years of experience in Engineering Quality Control and Costing;
  • Three (3) years of experience in Production Optimization concepts, Lean Manufacturing, New Product Introduction, Statistical Process Control, 5S, Six Sigma;
  • Two (2) years of experience in managing a welding program in accordance with industry standards;
  • Three (3) years of experience in Thermography for infrared testing of electrical products;
  • Three (3) years of experience in ERP systems M2M and P21; and
  • Three (3) years of experience in ISO standards and IQ, OQ, and PQ process validation.
