What You Will Do:

  • Operate, monitor, and trouble-shoot the facility and its processes in accordance with established procedures
  • Perform testing on lab samples, analyze and record results and data in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
  • Comply with all OSHA and Company Safety Programs and requirements
  • Handle general maintenance and upkeep around the wastewater plant to ensure well-kept work environment
  • Maintain log book, data entry in log sheets, and weekly summaries to Site Manager
  • Obtain and monitor weekly Commodity Chemical Inventories
  • Visual inspections of plant equipment and perform PM and emergency maintenance as required i.e. Pumps, Sludge Press, etc.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Basic hand tool selection & use.
  • Able to work in an industrial setting with little supervision, and self-direct work as needed.
  • Basic computer literacy (email, MS Office, etc)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous Experience in Industrial Wastewater Treatment or Maintenance
  • State Level Water or Wastewater Treatment Certifications
  • Experience in heavy industry- particularly steel / metals manufacturing
  • Familiarity with computer based controls (SCADA, HMI, CMMS, etc)


Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to physically perform the essential duties of the position which include lifting up to 50 pounds, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, balancing, walking, standing, climbing vertical ladders
  • Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical exam
  • Must be willing to work indoors and outdoors in all seasons and weather, including potential uneven ground, or on wet, or snow / ice covered ground.
  • May work in hot, cold, noisy, or dirty conditions.
