The Operations Director is responsible for:


General oversight of the restaurant, including People, Sales and Profits, Food Cost, Labor Cost, Food Safety, Customer Experience, Operations, Marketing, Leadership Development, Facilities, and Menu Changes


Works with Operator & Executive Team to set overall business goals


Bench Strength Development:

  • Provide regular operational coaching with Supervisors & conduct weekly meetings
  • Hold monthly meetings with Team Leaders & Team Trainers
  • Ensure FOH/BOH Supervisors are developed in order to lead their Team Leaders & staff
  • Coach the Supervisors & Team Leaders by cultivating a culture that thinks positively, differently and ambitiously
  • Participates in ongoing restaurant leadership development


Supervisor Oversight:

  • Ensure Supervisors & Team Leaders are fully supported & are provided all necessary resources (i.e., staffing, equipment, training, etc…)
  • Equip Supervisors with operational competencies as it relates to food safety, food cost, labor cost, etc…
  • Hold Directors accountable to quality and operational standards in order to meet customer experience and profitability goals
  • Consult/coach from knowledge and experience in alignment with Chick-fil-A policies and procedures


Operations:

  • Assess operational systems (ex. DT, FC, Kitchen, etc.)
  • Provide Operator & Executive Team with staff insight as it relates to leadership capacity
  • Ensure the continuity of systems (i.e., Safe daily critical, F2F, lean chicken, checklists, etc…)
  • Bi-weekly mock QIVs and Food Safety reports
  • Creates weekly schedule (approves requests for time off)
  • Ensures operational and menu changes are planned for and communicated appropriately (and in advance)
  • Stays abreast of Chick-fil-A policies, procedures and enhancements


Success Factors and Matching Measurements:

  • Stay in the top 20% of CEM performance
  • Maintain at least a score of a 2 on the quarterly Food Safety Report
  • Labor cost gap at or below 0% and Food Cost Gap at or below .50%
  • QIV scores have an average of 95% or above, averaged yearly for Production and Production Environment;

95% or above for Service and Customer Environment

  • Participate in effective restaurant leadership development

REQUIREMENTS

  • Full-time
  • Available to work days, nights, and weekends
  • Minimum two years of leadership experience
  • Available 40-50 hours weekly
  • Prior Chick-fil-A experience preferred
