Description:

This position is responsible for leading and directing day-to-day operational functions, managing inventory, assessing pricing and internal controls, and guiding departmental staff.

  • Plan and schedule day-to-day work activities including customer service, billing, and purchasing while considering the availability of resources and deadlines.
  • Monitor activities to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate issues to management regarding any problems with equipment or processes that may affect productivity.
  • Manage and mentor direct reports to achieve short- and long-term goals.
  • Assist in the development of new methods to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Oversee inventory activities including ordering, costing, receiving, and conducting physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
  • Update and implement vendor pricing changes in ERP.
  • Participate in month end close of ERP modules and reports.
  • Complete, discuss, and assist in approving ROIs with salesforce.
  • Analyze data to identify problems or trends that may require corrective action.
  • Conduct feasibility studies to determine whether new products or services are commercially viable.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure the smooth operation of business processes and projects.
  • Maintain records of operational activities such as sales, inventory levels, staffing levels, or shipping activity.
  • Periodic evening or weekend work is expected.
  • Expected to travel as needed to company subsidiaries.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration.
  • 3+ years of management experience in relatable fields of inventory, pricing, and analysis.
  • Ability to multi-task and perform tasks at different levels with precision and enthusiasm.
  • Able to work well and communicate with senior management, as well as mentor/lead other team members.
  • Proven record of managing and motivating a team with measurables and objectives.
  • Private company experiences preferred, not required.
