Primary Function:

Responsible for the execution of daily tasks in the Weighing, Blending, Mixing Compounding, Compression/Tableting, Extrusion, and Packaging. Ensuring that Safety, Quality, and Productivity meet the company goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Weighing:

  • Inspect all incoming containers of raw materials and ingredients for damage and/or

defects, and accuracy.

  • Perform the daily verification of the scales is performed and that calibrations are

current

  • Follow FEFO/FIFO when using raw materials and ingredients

Compounding:

  • Inspect all incoming containers of raw materials and ingredients for damage

and/or defects, and accuracy

  • Clean all mixing tanks following the Standard Operating Procedures, and Safety

Procedures

  • Ensure that the Water System is operational that the Quality of the Water produced

conforms with the approved standards

Blending:

  • Inspect all incoming container of raw materials and ingredients for damage

and/or defects, and accuracy

  • Ensure that the blenders are being cleaned and operated following the Standard

Operating Procedures and safety Procedures

Compression:

  • Inspect all incoming container of blend material for damage and/or defects, and

accuracy

  • Ensure that all tablet produced meets the specifications of weights, hardness,

thickness, friability, safety, purity and potency

  • Ensure that the tablet presses and all necessary equipment are clean, safe and that

all tablets produced are free of metal and other contaminants

Packaging:

  • Inspect all incoming container of WIP/bulk material and packaging components

for damage and/or defects, and accuracy

  • Ensure that the bottles/pouches/jars/blisters are filled with accuracy following the

Batch records for the specific products

  • Ensure that all piece work is done meeting the packaging pages and product

specifications

Miscellaneous:

  • Keep the areas clean and free from debris and potential safety hazards
  • Perform daily, weekly, monthly, 6 months, yearly inventory cycle count.
  • Interview, select, hire and discipline direct reports
  • Develop employees to next levels of carrier advancement
  • Manage employee PTO to ensure continuous production operation
  • Maintain all production equipment such as, but not limited to, fork-lifts, scissor

lifts, pallets, scanners, printers

  • Ensure that daily verification of the scales is performed and that calibrations are

current

  • Ensure all entries on the batch records, attachments and in electronic systems are

done with accuracy

  • Ensure that all individual raw materials, ingredients, batch, Bulk material

movements are done physically and electronically

  • Operate forklift, pallet jacks, grabbers when needed
  • Ensure that FEFO/FIFO is followed for all raw materials and ingredients
  • Ensure that all areas and clean and organized as the daily operations are being

pre, during, and post operation

  • Ensure that all movements are done on a safely manner.
  • Ensure that batch records, packaging pages and all other documents associated

with the process is reviewed before submitting to Quality for review and
subsequently archived

  • Adhere to daily, Weekly, Monthly KPIs
  • Present ideas for process improvement on a regular basis
  • Update the management team during the daily huddles and throughout the shift

Skills & Knowledge Required:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent (required).
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven management of fast-paced production operations
  • Bilingual (Spanish) (Preferred)
  • Computer skills in MS Office Suite/Google Suite, & ERP systems
  • Strong organizational and people skills
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Self-starter/motivated
  • Forklift Certification a plus, must complete within 30 days of employment

(If applicable)

  • Know how to load and unload pallets and containers to and from our six-level

high, approximately 35 feet, rack locations

  • Available to work extended hours, depending on the demand of goals

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour
