Job description
The goal of the Opioid Prevention Education Network through Michigan State University (OPEN-MSU) is to build the capacity of local efforts to create or expand opioid prevention, intervention, and treatment opportunities for low-income communities. OPEN-MSU supports a team of VISTA members and 2 VISTA Leaders as they serve with sites on projects that support local efforts in Michigan communities to identify service gaps; improve communication within local collaboratives and organizations; and, build the capacity of these entities to address the opioid abuse crisis. This position can serve in-person or remote.

Member Duties : The AmeriCorps VISTA member will serve to research and complete community needs assessments for organizations that host OPEN-MSU VISTA members and to create and expand relationships with community partners of OPEN-MSU. The member will also partner with other serving members on community projects.
