Job Summary: General Office Administrator is responsible for performing a wide variety of clerical and administrative duties for the Human Resources Department and the Executive Leadership Team.

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Maintain all department records in an orderly, secure and confidential manner.
  • Develop and maintain employee communications, employee boards, compliance notices, etc.
  • Assist in supporting executive leadership team with expense reports and meeting scheduling
  • Input to HRIS new hire data and any personnel changes. Review input and error reports for completeness and accuracy, making corrections as necessary.
  • Track and monitor the timely completion of performance reviews.
  • Assist the HR team in receiving internal applications and external resumes and scheduling interviews.
  • Review monthly reports on employee and retiree benefits and reconcile billing changes for insurance companies.
  • Assist HR team with open enrollment preparation, communications and roll out.
  • Input open enrollment employee benefit changes, changes in family status and insurance benefit changes.
  • Assist with picture taking and preparation of employee badges.
  • Prepare check requests for subscriptions, seminars, periodicals, memberships, etc., code invoices for blanket purchase orders.
  • Maintain vacation schedule for department personnel and birthday/anniversary calendar for the plant.
  • Edit and type letters, reports, job descriptions, notices, etc.
  • Receive and screen telephone calls, relay messages and furnish information wherever possible.
  • Order and maintain stationery supplies for the Human Resources department and Executive team.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or appropriate to the position.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with no experience (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 2 years of professional work experience).
  • At least 1 additional year of related experience; manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Experience using HRIS systems preferred
