Job Summary
- The Nutrition and Food Service Assistant is accountable for providing quality resident meals, snacks.
- Assists with meal preparation, assembly of meals, service to the resident and cleanup.
- Provides exceptional care and service to, residents, guests and Household at all times.
- Supports the hospital’s goal of excellence in patient care in a Christian, caring environment by facilitating positive employee relations and supporting department goals.
- Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital’s Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship for others, stewardship.
- Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and the Ethical and Religious Directives for healthcare.
Education and/or Experience
- One year food service related experience and/or training preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Certified as a Feeding Assistant within 1 year – (Full time employees only)
Work Schedule
- PRN, as needed, casual requirements per department policy
- Typical work schedule is from 6:00am - 2:00pm or 4:30pm - 7:00pm
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
- $17.00 - $20.50 per hour
