**This is a every Friday, Saturday & Sunday Night schedule**UNIT SUMMARY: The Subacute unit at Northwest Hospital is a 39-bed unit with a variety of patients requiring skilled nursing care to include physical, occupation and speech therapy, and nutritional services, as well as wound and joint care. This unit is also an overflow area for hospice. The unit is equipped with continuous passive motion (CPM) machines, trapeze bars and other equipment to allow for maximum patient independence. Staff members on this unit must be positive, compassionate, motivated and dedicated to helping others in need.
JOB SUMMARY: Provides safe, age appropriate patient care, assisting with Activities of Daily Living while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
REQUIREMENTS: Entry level knowledge, basic employment skills; High School Diploma, GED equivalent or High School certificate. Less than 1 year of experience. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required, Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification preferred from the Maryland Board of Nursing. American Heart Association CPR/First Aide Certification.
