Job description

Description:

  • 100% outpatient position -- no hospital work, no call.
  • Full-time position, 4-5 days/week, 8-5p or so
  • Lead the Consult Team (NP, MA, and US tech) in diagnosing PAD, and deciding whether or not a revascularization procedure is needed or not. This consists of meticulous H&Ps, empathetic and confidence-inspiring patient interaction, and precise documentation. -- this would be on Consult days.
  • CS3/First Assistant position - Scrub in and perform the procedure with the Physician Proceduralist (Vascular Surgeon, Interventional Cardiologist, or Interventional Radiologist). Requires a quick mind and dexterous hands. Super cool and exciting endovascular procedures. -- this would be on Procedure days.
  • In the field marketing alongside our full-time Marketer and Business Development Associate. Meet Referring Physicians and Referring NPs in the community, educate them on PAD and how to identify it, and encourage them to refer to us.
  • While the NP does not have any direct reports, by virtue of your education and clinical knowledge, you do function as an informal leader in all our clinics.
  • May be required to train at other clinical positions in the clinic, to help cross-cover as needed.
  • We offer a comprehensive training program on both Consults and Procedures.

Requirements:

  • Certified Nurse Practitioners only
  • We must credential you with our payers. This process takes approximately 12 weeks. Our NP training period takes 4-6 weeks. Therefore, any newly hired NP will not start with us until 6 weeks after we sign an employment agreement and your credentialing documents are submitted to us.
  • Meticulous documentation in our EMR is required, so strong English language skills are important.
  • A+ customer service-oriented attitude, charisma, and excellent bedside manner.
  • Our top performers earn at the higher end of the pay scale
  • Tech savviness
  • Drug screens and background check
  • Maturity, good judgement, and a proactive mind, anticipate and preempt problems (rather than simply react to them)
  • Spirit of continuous improvement -- strive to grow, improve, and learn... both professionally and personally, every single day, and to help the Company do the same
  • All employees are expected to perform as an integral part of the PADS team, and to provide supplemental support as requested, required, or assigned.
  • Initial 60-day Compatibility Period (CP) at a slightly reduced pay rate and no benefits. Upon completion of this CP, pay goes to 100% and full benefits kick-in.
