The Morton Plant Mease group of hospitals in Pinellas County are looking for their next great Nurse Helper Team Members.

Nurse Helper positions are available with Mease Dunedin Hospital in Dunedin, Mease Countryside Hospital in Safety Harbor, and Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater. Hours Vary, Full time and PRN (as needed) positions are available Days and Nights, or Variable.

• Pool (minimum commitment of 3 twelve hour shifts a month to include a weekend shift) hours (Days, Nights, or Variable)
• Full time hours are 3 twelve hour shifts per week, every other weekend
• Day shifts are 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• Nights are 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

The Nurse Helper:

• Assists the nursing staff in the delivery of patient care as directed by the RN.
• Must complete BayCare provided Nurse Helper training class prior to orientation on the nursing unit in the hospital.

Position Requires:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (from American Red Cross or American Heart Association)
• Completion of BayCare provided Nurse Helper training class, after starting
• Ability to work flexible hours is a plus

For this position, we are looking for a person who is dedicated to compassionate patient care in a hospital setting where you a part of a dynamic healthcare team. This position requires no previous nursing or healthcare experience and is an entry level opportunity in healthcare. You will help patients to the restroom, feed patients, take blankets, water, ice, etc., to those that request it, providing various assistance to patients wherever needed on the hospital floor.
