Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Plan and manage field follow and product support preparation for Large Power Systems Division(LPSD) New Product Introduction(NPI) programs and present readiness at NPI Gateway Reviews
- Coordinate service publications generation, parts stocking, dealer service tool creation, and support dealer technical training development for LPSD NPI products
- Manage and coordinate dealer claims processing for necessary field rework for engineering updates
- Support commissioning, updates, repairs, and corrective actions implementation, on field follow units
- Prioritize, and raise awareness for field follow events and issues by providing internal communications on status of field follow units at customer sites, including hours accumulated and issues found
- Work with NPI project teams, dealers, and customers to investigate and document all field problems on field follow units
- Coordinate NPI readiness activities with LPSD Digital and Lifecycle Management teams.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of relevant engineering or product support experience OR Associated degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR 8 years of relevant experience.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to perform complex assignments
- Self-starter with strong technical leadership and project management skills
- Demonstrated superior communication skills including listening, writing, preparing and giving presentations to high-level company managers, dealers and customers
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience working on mechanical products
Top candidates will also have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 10+ years of relevant engineering or product support experience
- 2 + years working with CAT dealers
- 5 years large engine experience
- Experience with the Caterpillar NPI processes
Additional Information:Location of this position is in Lafayette, IN or Mossville, IL

- This position may require up to 25% travel.
