GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES : Take drink orders from Guests, arrange in specific order, call order to Bartender, garnish drinks, deliver correct drink to Guest, smile and thank Guest. Engage in interactive promotional entertainment with Guests and co-workers.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (Includes, but is not limited to the following)
- Professional appearance and presentation at all times;
- Offer every Guest in the gaming area a beverage every 15 to 20 minutes;
- Promote drink specials and describe nightly entertainment in area (DJ, Piano Player);
- Repeat order back to Guest;
- Serve beverages to Guests in a friendly and timely manner;
- Maintain clean work station;
- Maintain cleanliness of section by picking up empty glasses and bottles on a regular basis, and return all glassware to bar for cleaning;
- Order drinks in proper sequence;
- Make eye contact, smile, greet and thank the Guest;
- Ensure Guest satisfaction by providing Sterling service;
- Order supplies when needed;
- Wear proper uniform, ID badge and nametag at all times;
- Regular, predictable attendance;
- Other job duties as may be assigned.
PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS: (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities) Understand and comply with all department and company policies and procedures, rules and regulations. Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and Guests. Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education : High school education or equivalent preferred.
Experience : None.
Certificate/License : Nevada Gaming Work card and Alcohol Awareness card required.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS : Work may be performed in areas, which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, dimly lit or brightly illuminated. Work may be performed in areas having a 3-foot access and may encounter slippery surfaces. Constant contact with Guests and staff is necessary.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS : (May be required in order to perform the essential functions of the position). Position requires Team Member to enter & exit from the Team Member entrance which entails 4 flights of stairs (40 steps). Requires mobility 100% of the shift. Requires seldom bending and reaching in areas from floor level to 6ft. high, pushing/pulling, firm/strong grasping and finger dexterity with both hands. Requires frequent standing, walking, and lifting/carrying weight of up to 25 lbs., balancing, twisting, turning, repetitive use of both hands with light grasping, eye/hand coordination and manual dexterity. Requires normal sense of smell, taste, touch and sound. Requires normal vision range and absence of color blindness. Requires the ability to perform simple tasks, simple reading, writing and math skills, and the ability to compile information and memorize drink orders.
