Job description
The Next Generation Church Mobilizer will work with the Director of Next Generation Mobilization in providing leadership, direction, and strategy to mobilize North American high school student ministries, college students, and young adults on NEXT Teams Short-Term Mission Teams (STMTs). They will also personally mobilize and lead effective NEXT Teams STMTs and provide post-trip training, discipleship, and coaching for students to continue on mission at home. They will work closely with East-West Next Generation and Mobilization staff.
This is a fully support-raised position.
A Day in the Life of the Next Generation Church Mobilizer
- Mobilize churches and individuals for participation in NEXT Teams STMTs
- Focus on going “broader and deeper” with new and existing partners within a targeted
geographic area and within your network of contacts - Maintain ongoing relationships with church/org partners for partner retention and follow up with STMT members
- Focus on going “broader and deeper” with new and existing partners within a targeted
- Provide post-trip training and coaching to high school students to lead campus Disciple Making Movements
- Lead and/or coordinate 4-6 NEXT Teams a year to the field
- Assist Director of Next Generation Missions in projects and planning as requested
- Attend meetings, retreats, and conferences as requested
- Develop and maintain a network of personal support
Qualifications
- Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- A baptized believer of Jesus Christ
- Ability to travel overseas at least 4 weeks a year
- Ability to raise personal support as well as develop and manage personal ministry budget
- Experienced in leading cross-cultural short-term mission teams
- Strong team player
- Displays a teachable spirit
- Good communication and networking skills
- Passion to see people come to faith in Jesus Christ
- Sales or Development experience is a plus
- Church staff experience a plus
