An NPI Sourcing Manager will lead the transformation of our supply chain and its performance as we take Polaris products from concept to the marketplace. You will partner with other Global Business Unit (GBU) leaders to better understand and address customer needs, optimize cost, deliver speed of execution, and manage risk from our supply chain into the new product development process. Provide your leadership and strategic insights into the supply chain function while leading a team of NPI sourcing project leaders to deliver new products.
Sourcing Strategy Leadership:
  • Lead PDP Supply Chain Design to provide breakthrough ideas in sourcing value, process development, and supply chain risk management.
  • Spearhead the integration of business unit and product strategies into a global supply chain strategy to provide sustained competitive advantages through direct material supply, sourced technology, and supplied value.
  • Partner with Global Business Unit and Engineering leadership to integrate strategic sourcing on pre-production activities.
  • Guide the team in translating long range product plans into road maps to feed into and drive category sourcing strategies.
  • Lead teams in developing holistic sourcing strategies to support new & advancing technology needs.
Program Management:
  • Lead Execution to targets of cost, quality, schedule, and strategic KPI’s.
  • Manage and develop a team of NPI Sourcing Leads to drive sourcing execution to material cost, tooling cost, and schedule milestone targets of projects.
  • Provide commercial and strategic guidance to category sourcing teams to guide negotiations, manage project risk, and improve product knowledge/alignment.
  • Operate globally and cross-functionally with supplier quality & development, engineering, manufacturing operations, suppliers, and category sourcing teams.
People Management:
  • Manage a team of NPI Sourcing Leads and Material Coordinators.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to cultivate a strong performing team.
  • Provide next level of professional development, training and career growth planning to direct reports.
  • Facilitate product knowledge growth within the team.
Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain/Operations, or Engineering. MBA or related Master’s degree preferred.
  • Demonstrated Ability to navigate challenging environments
  • 8+ years of relevant experience (product development and supply chain) required.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required:
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple direct reports across multiple locations.
  • Working knowledge of the Global Strategic Sourcing Function with experience in Supply Chain, Quality or Program Management.
  • Experience managing complex and high-risk projects.
  • Ability to lead in ambiguous situations to achieve results in a cross-functional matrix organization.
  • Excellent communication skills within the organization and across various departments.
  • Highly skilled at analytical assessments and problem-solving towards developing solutions complex operational and financial challenges.
  • Demonstrate passion and high energy with a customer obsessed mindset to motivate and influence others.
Working Conditions:
  • Fast-paced office environment.
  • 10-20% travel required, including international travel.
