SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the Director of Information Technology, this position assists in providing technical expertise for network servers Windows and Linux based, primarily Windows and related services to the enterprise. Overall, primary responsibility to manage ongoing maintenance functions on the information network including providing technical support to users and installing and monitoring the operation of the organization's local area network systems. Also performs a variety of complex professional and technical duties related to the installation and maintenance of the Rogers Group computer network and communications hardware and software.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or 5 years of experience working with networking infrastructure and LAN networks or equivalent combination of education and experience. A combination of education and experience of 5 or more years in a networking infrastructure and LAN networks environment including virtualization on VMware systems.

LANGUAGE SKILL: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the English language. Strong communication, problem solving, and organizational skills.

COMPUTER SKILLS: Working knowledge of computer keyboard for reporting activities and internet for communication. Technical proficiency with PC's, networks, and hardware systems. Proficient knowledge and skills using the Microsoft Office Suite. Microsoft Certified Professional in Windows Server Architecture desired. Experience with Linux and Microsoft

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must possess basic math skills and able to apply concepts such as fractions, decimals, and decimal equivalents to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY: Self-Starter, strong communication skills, exercises independent judgment and initiative. Ability to read, analyze and interpret the English language. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with the variety of situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or work order form. Strong attention to detail.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position includes close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus. The associate will be required to have a valid driver’s license. The associate will be subjected to reasonable stress associated with the performance of normal duties. The associate will be exposed to manufacturing and office environments.
