CEFCU member service team members are critical to the success of the credit union. They provide a professional, knowledgeable, and caring experience when members contact us. We are looking for individuals who are personable, articulate, and positive to add to our already awesome team!
Responsible for developing and maintaining complex, large scale enterprise applications using VB.Net, VB6, ASP.Net, Web Services, and miscellaneous third-party technologies. Interact with other developers, stakeholders, business groups including senior level management to interpret business problems and translate them into technical solutions. Will participate in a disciplined, analytical team driven approach to troubleshoot complex problems and design code choosing simple, straightforward solutions over more complex ones. Working with the business team to develop proof of concept solutions as well as developing testing procedures and resolving Help Desk tickets and bug fixes. The developer will need to understand and write SQL stored procedures and queries as well as setting up and maintaining a local SQL Server database instance. Responsibilities also include writing and maintaining code that interfaces with hardware like scanners, printers, signature pads and recyclers.

Required:
- Associate's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or commensurate work experience in Database Administration.
- Five years combined development experience using VB6 and VB.NET with a minimum of three years hands-on .NET Development experience.
- Good understanding of software development throughout the SDLC.
- Basic understanding of scripting and automation.
- Possess the ability and willingness to quickly adjust priorities as business needs shift.
- High level of conceptualization, analytical, logic, technical, problem-solving and reasoning skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills, with an eagerness to provide outstanding customer service.
- Demonstrated expertise with VB.NET and Microsoft Visual Studio.
- Demonstrated expertise with the ASP.NET framework and SQL Server.
- Advanced knowledge of object-oriented concepts, design patterns and development processes specifically with VB.NET, ASP.NET.
- Experience with Client/Server solutions.
- Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Able to work well in a team setting.
- Experience building and managing releases of software.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or commensurate work experience in Information Technology.
- Financial industry background and proven, successful project management experience is beneficial.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git, Team Foundation Server, etc.).
- Knowledge about commonly-used web technologies.
