SUMMARY

Operate inspection equipment to perform non-destructive testing and be able to interpret the results in visual (VT), magnetic particle (MT), Penetrant (Dry & Liquid) (PT), Phased Array, and ultrasonic (UT). Perform non-destructive tests on products manufactured in house, as well as outsourced products.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

• 
  Complete inspection records to provide information in regards to inspection of product and results of quality tests.
• Assist with corrective action and incident reports as required.
• Authority for marking of approval or rejection on product.
• Responsible to develop reports of hardness test examination.
• Responsible for the Heat Treat process
• Understand usage of measurement standards
• Comprehend the shop traveler, understand proper method of completing work center sequence, and understand that initialing and dating signifies their agreement the work is complete and accurate
• Understands quality procedure followed if part does not meet processing work instruction or print
• Read and understand a blueprint accurately
• Operate the machinery/equipment correctly and safely
• Identify surfaces that may cause a poor finish (e.g., spatter, oil, dust, rust)
• Achieve forklift certification and understand how to safely operate a forklift

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associates Degree and 5 years of related manufacturing experience.

Level 2 NDT education to be complete.

Epicor experience is a plus

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to twist, stoop, shovel, push, pull, bend, squat, lift up to 60 lbs., sweep, kneel, crawl, drive forklift, use vibrating tools, climb, grasp, carry up to 60 lbs, reach up and down. Must be able to stand 50% and walk 50% of the shift.
