What You’ll Get to Do:

CACI is looking for an Administrative Assistant in Houston, TX. This position supports the Houston leadership and technical team across all business and technical functions. CACI supports the NASA Johnson Space Center (JSC) Engineering Directorate across a broad range of space vehicle systems and software technologies with the highest level of technical skills, financial systems, and cost control processes.

This position requires a motivated, capable person with strong verbal and written communication skills, and computer aptitude. In addition to outstanding administrative skills, the individual must have a strong customer service mindset, possess a positive team-player attitude, and be flexible and willing to take on any assignments and responsibilities as they arise.


More About the Role:

Job responsibilities may include any or all of the following:

  • Assisting in on-boarding including badging, new hire orientation, and first week schedule.
  • Assisting with coordination of export control and OCI training and updating training logs.
  • Compile and edit weekly and monthly status reports and documentation,
  • Provide technical editing to engineering project teams for presentations, design documents, software delivery documents, user’s guides, etc.
  • Perform minor library functions for technical documents,
  • Develop project and software delivery schedules, e.g., Gantt charts,
  • Perform general administrative duties including developing agendas, recording minutes and action items, copying, filing, etc.
  • Work with technical staff to develop requirements for, and generating and tracking purchase requisitions, primarily for computer hardware and software,
  • Support Property Custodian activities: receive and issue computer hardware and software licenses, update various property logs including receiving logs, activity logs, and equipment checkout logs. Perform inventory audits,
  • Plan and coordinate travel within government guidelines, process expense reports, and update travel log,
  • Interface with job interview candidates to arrange interviews and prepare interview agendas. Work with technical leads to coordinate interviews, and feedback,
  • Maintain award log and award file,
  • Support and plan Houston team engagement and team building activities including All-Hands meetings, pancake breakfasts, Holiday Socials, food truck events, etc.
  • Interface with corporate Human Resource functions to research topics, e.g., employee benefits, etc.
  • Interface with building property management and CACI Corporate Facilities on office space and facility issues.
  • Utilize personal vehicle to travel between customer and company facilities to deliver documentation and coordinate between members of technical project team,
  • Perform any other assignment, as requested, by the engineering work force or project leads.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident to facilitate access to USG facilities.
  • Must have B.A. / B.S. with minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Must be able to work in the CACI office 8:00 am to 4:30 pm during regular workdays, Monday through Friday.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications, i.e., Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills mandatory.
  • Must have experience in technical editing and writing.
  • Positive, can-do attitude willing to take on any assignment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with little supervision.
  • Must be highly responsible, team-oriented individual with strong work ethic that is willing to do whatever the job requires in a dynamic environment.
  • Must have well developed coordination and organization skills.
